3.3.2 Power Supply Using PoE Products (Power over Ethernet)
Connect the NET connector of the camera to the Ethernet connector of the
switch/router. The network components need to support the PoE
standard IEEE 802.3af.
3.3.3 Camera Startup Sequence
As soon as the camera's power supply has been established, the two LEDs will
show the progress of the startup sequence:
Booting: Once the power supply has been hooked up, the red LED lights up,
blinks for two seconds, then lights up again. The camera's boot loader
checks the hardware, unpacks and starts the operating system. All applica-
tions are verified using the checksums; in case of an error, the camera will
start using the backup operating system instead.
Waiting for key pressed: Both LEDs light up for four seconds. If you press
one of the keys labeled "R" or "L" at the back of the camera, it will execute
the corresponding function (see sections 3.5 and 3.6).
Ready: Once the application software has been started, the green LED lights
up (if it has not been switched off for this configuration). You can now access
the camera using your browser (see section 5.4.3,
Configuring the LEDs and
the Signal Input
, in the
Software Manual
).

Note
During the startup sequence or a software reboot, the LEDs will always
light up, even if they have been deactivated in Admin Menu > LED

PoE IEEE 802.3af!
Note
If you are using Power over Ethernet components (IEEE 802.3af) for
supplying power to the MOBOTIX M22M, these components have to
provide PoE class 0 (12.95Watts max. power consumption of attached
device). Although the M22M only uses 3Watts and does not require
heating even at very low temperatures, this will ensure that devices
attached to the USB port of the camera will be properly supplied.
